Friend, Family & Neighbor Care

Family, friend, and neighbor (FFN) care refers to child care provided by unlicensed relatives, friends, or others in the community.

The purpose of the FFN program is to support the Latino FFN providers’ professional development in early care and education. This will enhance language and literacy development for Latino children, birth through five years of age. It will promote school readiness and reduce the achievement gap between Latino and non-Latino children.
